staring at the news
bleak prospect
ongoing installing
of fear
how much anxiety
can one tolerate
before crushing
down
time to break
the cycle
of trusting
the narrative
our anniversary
deserved better
celebration than
injecting bad news
weather outside
still quite placid
so we took off
for a swim
alone on the road
quiet atmosphere
the dam was silent
only us submerged
dinner in an open
vegan restaurant
supporting the
brave hearts
food to live for
so we ordered
more then we
should
on the way home
sky with fluffy clouds
sun setting fast
on the horizon
home again
time to digest
beware of swallowing
more of the
same news
force of nature
fear of the unknown
grim predictions
powerful elements
falling rain
steady moving low
tucked away
under soft sheets
turning and tossing
constant
barrage of
questions
future options
going through
alert mind
jumping to
conclusions
sleepless night
low lying house
past floods
uncertainty
eyes wide open
communal kitchen double sink
group prayers peace maker
late nights get one to think
since they got to share an acre
who wants to be alone
gets referral from the gp
padded room of their own
surroundings a little creepy
make no judgement on the go
there is rarely one to blame
for a sold out magic show
brought the trickster fame
