MORNING POETRY – ‘Know To Differ’

Know to differ
Presented with fear
Know to differ
Even if its real

Stuck in a shell
Suited for a turtle
Under a rock
Away from the hell

Better live our story
Each day move an inch
Dream in a catcher
Too late to be sorry

Fools have empty mind
Following suit
TV cloned sheep
News of old kind

Imminent is death
Marching forward
Oblivious to life
Time for a test

Take in a breath of air
Smell a wild flower
Walk in the winter sun
Existence is a love affair

Cards to be turned
Stop sign of change
Once we lit our light
Old fears will be burned

Galaxies and stars
Milky way in a bar
Distant is our future
Like the planet Mars

Quieten the chatter
Slow down the beat
Heart of a lunatic
With a twisted wit

Come together
Out of isolation
Cover your face
With a beaming smile

Relax there is still hope
Until we are in a box
Life gives us all the tools
Coupled with a rope

Hang in there my friends…

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Drink To Life’

This poem is in a loving memory of a friend who transitioned recently and unexpectedly…

So there goes
Now silent and peaceful
Music playing in my ears
The fragrance of a flower
Encapsulated in her essence

How soon is now
Distant past memories
Washed ashore
The remnants of a smile

Into the wind and sea
Thrown like a leaf
Beautiful forever
With the speed of light

Time comes chasing
Knock on the door
Who is there to open
Past present or the future

With a pinch of salt
Honey and lemon
Life makes a toast
So drink its entirety

Eternity awaits all

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Tree Stories’

TREE STORIES

Deep into the forest
Walked we eagerly
Birds chirped above

Tall trees strangled
By a small fig seed
Soon to be overpowered
Overgrown and hollow

The canopy filled with light
Sun slowly moved across
The leafy outlook
Sudden sound in the bush

Eyes wide open
Ears pricked
Paws holding a seed
Wallaby on a watch

In the rotting leaves
Mushrooms attached
To an old tree branch
Sucking life out of it

Underground unseen
Creatures of the dark
Earthworms long and many
Appear after storm

The day was just perfect
For a forest story

Rested

MORNING POETRY – ‘Cracked up’

Cracked up

When the light shines
Bake some cake
In the dark night
By the luminous moon

Celebration is due
For a rock has given salt
The dog has given his ball
And the mouse has given me an RSI

For the birds has flown
On a plane over hills
And the cow gave birth
To milk chocolate

Santa loves his dose of coke

Iced
