MIDNIGHT POETRY -‘The Hungry Stork’

body of an angel
wings dark feathers
time to pursue
vegan leathers

off the high horse
out with charts
stop the bets
have the smarts

steadfast approach
change of seasons
eating flesh
has no reasons

who keeps pets
in their house
a comfy bed
next to the spouse

what’s for dinner
they do ask
prep some chook
put on the mask

one is poultry
one is a pet
one we pay for
to see the vet

so blindfolded
we often are
our habits
rather bizarre

time to wake up
to get real
all past dramas
we can heal

next time we expect
an incoming stork
let’s prepare it for
dishes eaten by
a fork

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Divine Instrument’

stop wait
now slowly
ever so slowly
move to the rhythm
of a handpan

celestial sound
coming out of
that precious ufo
shaped instrument
blissed

exploding inside
healing the cells
in the place of music
divine melody
in sync

stagnant energies
leaving the body
fresh new air
filling the lungs
alive

staying present
in this minute
experience
cheerful joy
vibrating

peace

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Their Influence’

glass ceiling
shattered into
tiny shards

They walked
in to this era
boldly

earlier led by
Him — while She
stood behind

unheard
misunderstood
silently choking

suddenly
change of colors
a rainbow

books rewritten
history became
Their-story

Her place
forgotten
His forsaken

unified
turned into
Theirs

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Sometimes’

sometimes
seeing is
believing
magic

sometimes
hearing is
trusting
omnipresence

at times
feelings
guide us
deeper

at times
emotions
come up
stronger

without
guidance
we could
wander

without
healing
we might
suffer

gratitude
is the key
that sets
us free
