MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Chilled Morning’

holiday mode still present
mountain air crispy and cool
mooing of country cows
foraging on roadside apples

the fresh cold morning
the fireplace still warm
the hot shower steam
the pot of freshly brewed tea

spread of sweet honey liquid
on a crusty sourdough bread
ensure the needed nutrition
for a challenge of today

the sun is out and up
the breeze is mellow
the car is full of energy
and so are we

recharged and ready
to embrace the day
in a country of
fluffy wombats

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Hesitant Kiss’

the sun opened each wild flower
caressing her soft petals gently
the breeze stroked all the leaves
bending the long growing grass

it was a day with not a cloud in sight
walking across the bridge hand in hand
into the fields of golden light
their touch invisible to the naked eye

their journey together was near the end
spontaneously lifting her black veil
showing an empty space
then a hesitant kiss

the sudden darkness
remembering her duties
he followed into the field
never to return
alive

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Too Close’

you rock my world
you are with me
when I weep
you hold me tight
in my sleep

when I tremble
you are the closest
to my skin
at moments of sorrow
your strength I borrow

you go into the depth
of the self talk…
proud of you
cancer

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Unveiling’

our perspectives
shells of our beliefs
crushed by the wind of change
soaring in the ether
unveiling

drilling deep inside the raptured skull
bursting into full spectrum colors
rainbow in the mind
exploding

guided through the spine by two snakes
rapidly moving forward
breaking through all resistance
uncoiling

fresh breath of life force coming in
exhale all impurities
take in all the goodness
transforming

in the light
