MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Blank Page’

hello my dear
it has been a while
our past encounters
long into the night
sitting next to you
now makes me smile
seeing the light

little wit no ink
joyous to give into
your embrace
much rather than
visit to the shrink

gentle movement
sweaty fingers
brain fog lifted
spilling it all out
your touch is gifted

truth uncovered
books on the shelf
shadows with a glow
the time is here
to know thyself

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Quiz’

what is there
blank stare
what is there
looking out the eyes
what is there
too many lies

who is there
to save us from ourselves
who is there
to dodge the crowd
who is there
to figure it all out

where is there
peace in the world
where is there
beauty without art
where is there
joy in the heart

when is there
moment of calm
when is there
the best time
when is there
no more crime

why is there
so many questions
why is there
in and out breath
why is there
birth and death

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Beyond’

mellow tune
vivid journey
landscape of
memories

open passage
boundless
serendipitous
encounters

inner map
new territory
beyond thought
pure elation

noosa everglades

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Tea Tree River’

it took aeons
yet we savored
every moment

simply gliding
mirrored surface
of the river

at sunrise
we took off
in a kayak

paddling gently
returned smiling
almost at dusk

solitude on the water
no other soul around
apart from goannas

tea tree color
spanning wide and deep
hiding bull sharks

in the everglades
the sun emerges and retreats
undisturbed
