MIDDAY POETRY “Online Love Affair”

Let me introduce this one…It’s dedicated to a friend of mine whose condensed story it represents. Please read with caution 😉

“ONLINE LOVE AFFAIR”

Blue sky above
I search for love
Finding it online
Is my hopeful chance

Formidable hurdles
On a first date
Having paid for coffee
Nothing on a plate

Words stuck in my throat
Do you have a boat
Even little mansion
Would pay for a pension

Many days and too much time
Research conducted online
Profile photo tells a story
In reality I am sorry

Divorced to his sixth wife
On a hunt for a new life
Retired now being lonely
At home dressed in PJ’s only

Few moments go past
Closing time at last
Exchange numbers paid the bill
Rather unsure how I feel

After coffee empty belly
Let’s go home and watch the telly
My place or yours
Now standing at my doors

Life gives us one chance
First impression at a glance
Tea and cookies milk with foam
He makes himself feel at home

Bedroom door now widely open
Mellow music makes the scene
On the pillow his head resting
Shirt off my nerves just testing

Full of colors different form
Tattoos of all types the norm
Cookies in hand and the tea in the pot
I turned my heels on the spot

Apologies fly in the air
I am not interested to be fair
My taste buds dislike colored ink

Best to leave it at that I think

MIDNIGHT POETRY “Weight Gain”

Sticky buns and baggy pants
In a need of an insurance
Polished plate is always best
Munch munch munch
Just eat the rest

Bit of this and lot of that
Ice cream to top up the fat
Who checks size of calories
Body mass will never freeze

In the heat of summer season
Covered in fabric for a good reason
Beach body and bikini object of the past
Fatty cells cover traumas pretty fast

Wardrobe shrinks each day an inch
To keep a hot body no longer a cinch
Growing bigger aging young
Hope in miracles to work

No more eating junk!

MIDNIGHT POETRY “Fooled Into Being Normal”

“FOOLED INTO BEING NORMAL”

Blind and mute
Before birth occurred
Hoaxed into living
Following suit

Coming out of darkness
Daylight rubs the eyes
Scream for the first breath
Better than staying dead

Murmur and sound
Chaos all around
Touch on the skin
To be bare now a sin

Time is of an essence
Soon adolescence
Knock on the door
Story for a new decor

Dress and heels
Case full of skills
Rising on a leader
Resting on a feather

Upon passing years
Lust and dreaded fears
Change is in the air
Going Vego to be fair

Life of pure love no more lust
Content before being dust
Priorities changing gear
Into the unknown bravely steer

Formless mind and fatty brain
Chemical imbalance holds the rein
Vivid images of unseen form
Sounds that disturb the norm

What really matters who really cares
What meaning do we give life and is it fair
In the meantime take another breath
And go to fetch your daily bread

MIDDAY POETRY “Instantly Moreish”

Instantly Moreish

I cried and my eyes flooded old rivers
I smiled and my mouth shaped new valleys
The tears of joy came unexpectedly
Above all the lies the truth resides

My heart beats to the bongo drums
My liver filters toxic memories
I raise a praise to the grey matter
For keeping it all in sync

The order which runs my blood around
Does not sleep and never stops dry
I go about my day with a fresh look on my face
Knowing that I am looked after and cared for

Whatever I call it whatever name I give
It bursts way beyond those vowels
More life there is given with each breath
Homeostasis keeps me balanced inside out

My heart opened to new discoveries
My mind shattered old structures
What stays permanent moves around
Constant flow of dissatisfaction.
