MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Empty Vessel’

empty vessel
containing no thing
no thought no memories
vast new landscape

blank canvas
smell of freshness
newly stretched
onto the frame

the lived dream
of meditators
the perception of
newborns

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Summer Feel’

pleasant water

caressing the body

swimming in a lake

amidst birds and fish

submerged

united

being

one

MIDNIGHT POETRY ‘Inevitable Evolution’

vibrant energetic sleek
terms that fade with age
grumpy tired slow
now fills the page

all is jolly good
until we reach fifty
money come and go
time to be more thrifty

with growing years
celebrate the wins
having all the teeth
share with wider grins

browsing the net
neon sign with a plug
appears on the screen
buy this magic drug

better still the next one
giving us a poke
what service to have
when we croak

running out of time
before all the money
after years of hard work
could seem almost funny

note for our current self
don’t wait for better days
time to cherish here and now
there are no new yesterdays

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Across The Road’

heat of the oven
coolness of ice
mighty connection
to be precise

start a journey
end it on the path
life in time and space
enjoy a bubbly bath

the wind turns heads
ruffles a few feathers
who loves wholeness
stopped using leathers

count your blessings
having one too many
black cat across the road
already lived her twenty

string of pearls
tiny little sands
over time persistence
nature understands

create your joy
find a happy heart
chance to succeed
is high – if you start
