MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Nature’s stillness’

NATURE STILL doing its thing!
Unmoved by people’s concerns
Running the show of life
Continuing the cycles
While creating beauty

Unfettered by the humans restrictions
Animal kingdom has not changed an inch
What can that teach us fretted humans?

Be still now
Know that we are a part of nature
The cycle of life and death

The flowing of water in the stream
The smell of the blooming rose
The bitterness of the poisonous mushroom

All parts of a whole
All one with another
All poised and calm

No fear of life
No anxiety about death
No thoughts to bother

Only in harmonious relationships with other life

Peace prevails in nature
All the while we are glued
To the regurgitated news from the box

Unplug and take your first aware breath!

MORNING POETRY – ‘With a pinch of salt’

WITH A PINCH OF SALT

With a pinch of salt
To put into our cooking
Food becomes more tasty

With a hint from life
To slow down and ease off
Life becomes fresh again

Never in our recent history
Were we under so much stress
Too busy to forget ourselves

While the time is ticking
Blessed we are to slow down
Opportunity unforeseen

Many have a home based job now
Dreamed of working from home
Without realizing the achievement

We truly get what we asked for
Ways we haven’t imagined
Possible in our lifetime

Now the time is to be merry
To smile and be joyous
As life provides all we need

Trust life

MIDNIGHT POETRY -“What If”

WHAT IF

What if there is no need for panic
If fear knocks leave him at the door
What if all there is – is in order

What if the sky is still blue
And the sun still shines daily
When you go out you can breathe

What if we are overreacting
And death is normal part of life
When it comes it takes us with her

What if there is no certainty
But we live in an illusion of control
Needing to hold the rains of life

What if life speaks a language
We don’t seem to understand
Yet are able to learn in silence

What if the road to hell leads through our mind
Take a U turn and stop at the traffic lights
Open the sunroof and let your hair out into the wind

Back into sanity

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Awakened Beauty’

She was hidden
Behind a pile of rubbish
Until the discovery
Of its golden centre

As she dag deep
Her hair fell forward
Her hands felt the dirt
Of unresolved past

Fountain of pristine fluid
Washed away all the muck
Once again and forever
She felt fresh and new

Her hair smooth and shiny
Her face full of laughter
Plainly in sight
The well lived lines

Breaking inside
Walls shattering
Open space created
Freedom to breathe

Her pulse got back
Slowly catching breath
Emerging from deep sleep

Awakened beauty
