MIDNIGHT POETRY – “Without Sirens”

Without Sirens

Ambulance driver full of patience
Setting up the stretcher
Tying up the straps

Hands tight from defense
Metal cuffs rip the skin
Giving in to the trap

Buzz of depot substance
Running through the blood
Calmness brings out overtone

To voices in the head
Call me back once I’m awake
I won’t sleep at home.

MORNING POETRY – “LIFE FOR LIKES”

Scrolling to oblivion
Chasing the unseen
Expectations for a high
Tingling in the fingers
Stiffness in the neck
Emptyness in the mind
Yearning for connection
Virtual satisfaction
The note to self

“Life given for likes”

MIDNIGHT POETRY – “In Disbelief”

In disbelief

What I ate yesterday was still good tomorrow
When I slept I had my eyes open wide
Going out is very much an inside job
Getting clarity is a messy business
Gaining weight at a loss of appetite
Relationships with no connections.

The sole of my feet are sore of defeat
Walking my talk on a spinning round ball
Frightened of velocity and gravitation
That might pull me back to womb.
