MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Mirrors of Sand’

swirling tornado
nimble and savage
robust and bold

raw energy
fierce motion
tireless

out and in its core
mirrors of sand
liquid imagery

vanity on the move
fantasy of security
just a mirage

Poem ‘Mirrors of Sand’ read by the author.

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Intentionally’

few dollars extra
foreign exchange fee
down a dark alleyway
does not matter let it be

guy stands there all day
watching passersby
once they bring their money
tricks or treat he will try

makes few extra bucks
on an unassuming tourist
cheating is his daily bread
intentions having purest

Poem ‘Intentionally’ read by the author.

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Early’

roosters crowing
orange marigolds
coconut fiber baskets
gods daily offerings

smell of smoke
burning waste
sleepless joggers
broken footpath

the sea reaches out
cocoons the swimmers
sun warms the body
another glorious day

on this island
paradise
on earth

Poem ‘Early’ read by the author.

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘July Down Under’

holiday spirit
winter in the sky
seasonal festivities
christmas in july

vego feast making
knife very sharp
tiny cookies baking
let’s live the carp

snowflakes falling
on green grass
roos hop around
lake turned into glass

local markets
full of food
chopping boards
made out of wood

beanies and gloves
crochet socks
everyone loves
presents box

small or large
nobody cares
without charge
who compares

Poem ‘July Down Under’ read by the author.
