meditating on the I
where is it, oh! my
comfy cushion
cross legged pose
contemplating
on words those
inside the body
hiding obscurely
amongst others
anchored surely
fleeting moment
this big mystery
as life becomes
history
meditating on the I
where is it, oh! my
comfy cushion
cross legged pose
contemplating
on words those
inside the body
hiding obscurely
amongst others
anchored surely
fleeting moment
this big mystery
as life becomes
history
all life in flux
universe deluxe
planets galaxies and stars
journeys beyond Mars
blue planet our home
on it we freely roam
in the bush or near the ocean
humans full of raw emotion
free life yearning
with passion burning
cold feet warm heart
brain plays its part
we meet at the end
Peter our dear friend
our love to create
keys to heavens gate

it’s a myth
if we believe
there is a guru
who has it all
once we put a person
on a pedestal
above us
hiccups arise
the moment
they don’t match
our expectations
and set of values
we are upset
they were not
the guru we
thought we knew
the problem is
we are often
minimizing
ourselves
in the hope
someone
understands us
better than we do
in the process
saving us
from our demons
insecurities
the truth is
they often have
some of their own
weak spots
this is important
and inherent
part of our collective
human experience
