MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Sudden Shift’

It may be healing
For whatever feeling
To go to the forest
Breathe air at its best

Cookies and tea
Fell inside me
Turn a new leaf
No more beef

Walk or ride
Move with pride
No smelly fumes
Silence no booms

Crack of a dawn
My daily yawn
Instead of papers
Fresh flower vapors

Coffee forgotten brew
Kombucha with a dew
Clap my hands to chant
My diet now fully plant

Om and hum feel the beat
Lift your bum bare both feet
Rite of passage in middle age
Breaking the bond fleeing the cage

Touch of breeze on my face
Being gifted divine grace
Sudden shift from foggy mind
Walking gently and being kind

Now stop and breathe

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Ever Growing Body’

Ever Growing Body

Fat cells stretched to the max
Roaming about the fridge
Having just eaten lunch
Dessert is due next

A sweet ambition
To reverse time
Dressed in sweatpants
Food constant on the mind

Munch crunch munch
Grossly overweight
Rolling down the kitchen
Getting harder to inhale

What is the last straw
Of this food obsession
No will to stop
Turning into a ‘Buddha’

Sedentary lifestyle
No need to get anywhere
No need to walk too far
Thinking about not much

Food for instant gratification
Of the current situation
Satisfaction on the tongue
Tip of the Iceberg only

Growing ever larger body
Expansion of the cells
Pops up a scene from M Python’s
”The Meaning Of Life”

Nobody to blame
Starting tomorrow

Diet or die fat

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Awakened Beauty’

She was hidden
Behind a pile of rubbish
Until the discovery
Of its golden centre

As she dag deep
Her hair fell forward
Her hands felt the dirt
Of unresolved past

Fountain of pristine fluid
Washed away all the muck
Once again and forever
She felt fresh and new

Her hair smooth and shiny
Her face full of laughter
Plainly in sight
The well lived lines

Breaking inside
Walls shattering
Open space created
Freedom to breathe

Her pulse got back
Slowly catching breath
Emerging from deep sleep

Awakened beauty

MIDNIGHT POETRY ‘Alphabet of Symbols’

Alphabet of Symbols

Having said nothing
Appeared invisible
Comfort zone of a shell
Turtle in her tiny home

Study and research
Get a Nobel Prize
Heroes of today
Lost in past memories

Dust off the pollen
From the dirty veil
Vent out the brain
Crunch the letters

Empty like O
Crossed like X
Straight like I
Hooked on J
Climb on H
And Y?

Because the turmoil
Water down my back
Heart beats solid line
Freshly poured vacuum

Product of society
Packaged in cling film
Slow to change
Solid in roots

Seeds spread on toast
Down the throat
Sprouted new ideas
Inside the mind

Greater collective
Broken to pieces
Glued to the past
Waiting for a heroin

With patience
Shot of clarity
In vain
Flying past

Lie still or move
