speaking is listening
let that sink in
when we speak
we hear our own voice
so
let’s speak to another
the same way
we would like to
be spoken to
as
we are the main
recipient of
our words
now
choose
wisely
choose
kindness

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Hideaway’
atop a mountain
secret hideaway
expansive views
crystal clear lake
only a few know
this special spot
still less can reach it
being that remote
timeworn hut stands a witness
to the ever-changing elements
at such high altitude
unique climate for sturdy plants
local animals make their burrows
in the shorter brown grasses
while adventurers hiking further
set up a tent for a chilly night
freezing cold can be experienced
with a snow falling any time of the year
warm clothes real necessity
four different seasons in a day
the less known part of
the land down under
where furry wombats
give a good night
MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Hooked’
Trying the brain at Haiku poetry…
**********************************
Poem 1
hook in open mouth
Nemo fish caught in the net
released to freedom
***********************************
Poem 2
eyes opened wide
hook in hand counting stitches
the love of crochet

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Indigestible News’
staring at the news
bleak prospect
ongoing installing
of fear
how much anxiety
can one tolerate
before crushing
down
time to break
the cycle
of trusting
the narrative
our anniversary
deserved better
celebration than
injecting bad news
weather outside
still quite placid
so we took off
for a swim
alone on the road
quiet atmosphere
the dam was silent
only us submerged
dinner in an open
vegan restaurant
supporting the
brave hearts
food to live for
so we ordered
more then we
should
on the way home
sky with fluffy clouds
sun setting fast
on the horizon
home again
time to digest
beware of swallowing
more of the
same news
