MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Momentary’

days seem too short
time encapsulated
magic of the forest
where each tree needle
fell to the ground
without a sound

sitting around a bonfire
listening to the crackling
of the wood sap
eyes absorbing flames
cheeks and palms
shades of hot pink

reflecting on the past days
hours and years blend
into one infinitive mass
past present and future
only fictitious concepts
piercing through space

moments ago God’s child
now just a grey nomad
well behaved adult
following written rules
the wisdom hidden
behind thick curtains

innocence dissipated
like a smoke of the fire
only distant smile remains
so fragile and deep
you would almost miss it
in a blink of an eye

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘ Only Change’

trading time for money
energy limited resource
house built on debt
family of ghosts

hamster in a wheel
the endless run
wiped out all the
left over wits

river within its banks
carving the rocks
running its course
without fail

life like a river
seeping away
from us all
sooner than later

shaping us by the flow
nothing stays the same
only change remains
for eternity

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Too Close’

you rock my world
you are with me
when I weep
you hold me tight
in my sleep

when I tremble
you are the closest
to my skin
at moments of sorrow
your strength I borrow

you go into the depth
of the self talk…
proud of you
cancer

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘The Process’

wordpad
the best
friend

finger tips
kiss the keys
ever so gently

pause
awaiting
sense of calm

expectation
brings
fidgeting

questions
arising
inside

time to
write
continuously

letters pouring
seemingly
unrelated

on the screen
silently
suddenly

poem
birthed
alive

the dna
of chaos
unwound

words
leap forward
into space

transformation
happens
unexpectedly

mind
of a poet

unleashed
