touch of sadness
what a madness
gullible no brain
let me explain
got a surprise email
written with all the detail
‘we will feature your book’
swallowed with a hook
her pen name Sherry
sounded bit too merry
writing style really kind
to influence weak mind
sweetness builds connection
on a closer inspection
concealed until the very last
send me your money fast
bank account of a dark name
to get the scammer now my game
the face behind the bank details
i pray their scheme soon fails
the story doesn’t end
Sherry is now my friend
the real Sherry I found
the scammer is still around
pretender behind a real face
on fraud report i made a case
warning to all you guys
beware of sweet AI lies

I’ve been getting soooo many of these emails, nearly every day. At first I was wary but intrigued and engaged with a couple. But I did my research and discovered they weren’t legit. They did say such lovely things about my novel, AI written of course. So I captured a few snippets of one’s I liked and saved for ad copy in the future if needed. 😊

Hi Deborah, Thank you for your great comment. That is the way! To save the good stuff out of the emails. 🙂 Nice work!
This was my ‘first’, and I have been suspicious from the start. I checked online and found that the group they spoke on behalf existed, the person too, so it did seem quite legit…I engaged in the conversation and was lured to send them my book for the readings (which I regret). As soon as money came into the conversation though, I was on my guard and did my due diligence. Saying that, I am usually pretty careful with this kind of stuff, so was peeved to see they ‘got me’ in a way. No money sent. However, their emails written with help of AI are truly masterpieces! No longer any cheap and simple scams, they are on top of their game with the right tools. Unfortunately.
Wishing you a scam free day!
