MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Sweet’

tip of the tongue
sweet taste sensor
soft and naughty
giving pleasure
with a flaw
new and enlarged
body

on the menu
delicatessen
on the mind
sense of guilt

reflecting
always
too late
the moment
of delight
followed by
remorse

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Silence’

delight in silence
no added noise
only nature’s buzz

soothing tunes
restoring the nerves
healing the mind

loving bird song
calling their mate
paired for life

the frogs croak
at the dam
the sound of rain

like a shower
the soul soap
cleansing internally

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Oil’

one thing is clear
year after year
media thriving on fear

people living in the sticks
falling for magic tricks
terror sells the flicks

life a fragile dream
whatever the regime
war measure extreme

glued onto the screen
without a machine
our brain washed clean

after a stint in drama
call upon our mama
to take off our pajama

now totally nude
let’s not be prude
no oil we are screwed

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Hopeful Still’

oftentimes they teach us to be great
oftentimes we seek out closure
oftentimes it comes with disclosure
oftentimes we reach out too late

never mind the steps needed
never mind the mental chatters
never mind our attitude matters
never mind we all get superseded

usually love is the path
usually the smell of success
usually that leads to stress
usually we don’t do the math

seldom there is an easy way
seldom we know ourselves well
seldom our story will tell
seldom ‘to err is human’ saves the day
