inundated by rushing floodwater
highway traffic at standstill
dodging pot holes massive craters

getting the dry land soaking
delivering the much needed
nourishing drink to the trees

into the darkness of the night
amphibians in great magnitude
their wild concert unconducted
incessant melody of the wet forest
