MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Purpose’

purpose, the big question
that gives many indigestion
asking people about it
life goes on without it

swirls of stardust in the sky
on the ground the little i
storms in heavens brewing
what on earth are we doing

deep blue water sustains life
floating plastic debris rife
the horizon full of fires
burning all human desires

in the end what matters most
just before we turn to ghost
to cherish life as precious art
clear conscience loving heart

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘The Knight’

morning alleyway
silent feet shuffle
river of grey suits

lights faintly glow
distant smell of coffee
bakery opens the door

city full of ghosts
screen in hand
heading to a desk

morning routine
run on autopilot
eyes half shut

fresh coffee sip
time to regain
consciousness

awareness still
in deep sleep
shrouded in a veil

vision of a bleak future
not enough to sustain
whims of the offsprings

on a hamster wheel
going nowhere far
waiting aimlessly

for the one day
the shiny knight arrives
to slay the dragon…

to win this game
to break out
of the cage

wake up
from the daily
societal dream

crack the code
realize-be
awareness…
the knight

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Silent Time’

silence wrapped around
encapsulating thoughts
providing space and time
to respond to observe

no need to react now
the right time appears
after an interval
allowing a fresh approach

more space on the mind
quietened internal chatter
peace spreads its wings
relaxing ambience prevails

enchanting and might
silent breath meditation
minutes merge into hours
time vanishes in a vacuum

beatific calm

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Hopeful Still’

oftentimes they teach us to be great
oftentimes we seek out closure
oftentimes it comes with disclosure
oftentimes we reach out too late

never mind the steps needed
never mind the mental chatters
never mind our attitude matters
never mind we all get superseded

usually love is the path
usually the smell of success
usually that leads to stress
usually we don’t do the math

seldom there is an easy way
seldom we know ourselves well
seldom our story will tell
seldom ‘to err is human’ saves the day
