MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Writers Beware!’

touch of sadness
what a madness
gullible no brain
let me explain

got a surprise email
written with all the detail
‘we will feature your book’
swallowed with a hook

her pen name Sherry
sounded bit too merry
writing style really kind
to influence weak mind

sweetness builds connection
on a closer inspection
concealed until the very last
send me your money fast

bank account of a dark name
to get the scammer now my game
the face behind the bank details
i pray their scheme soon fails

the story doesn’t end
Sherry is now my friend
the real Sherry I found
the scammer is still around

pretender behind a real face
on fraud report i made a case
warning to all you guys
beware of sweet AI lies

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Mirrored’

in search of assistance
with a rigid mirror
showing signs of
wear and tear

aging proceeds
without permission
bringing the gift of
squeaky knees

the fog on the glass
reflecting the youth
images showing
distant beauty

shattering bang!
the mirror in pieces
each one of them
the hologram of life
re-lived

MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘In The Clouds ‘

hands on fire
head in the cloud
i have a desire
to say it aloud

to speak out
the truth to share
but then i freak out
and would not dare

words don’t come
my voice is weak
rule of thumb
i hardly speak

what is the matter
why do i choke
internal chatter
cracking a joke

the joke is on me
who cares more
invisible army
raging a war

sweaty palms
to face my fears
deceptive calms
under my tears

gather some strength
take a breath deep
stop writing at length
acting like a sheep …
go get some sleep
talk is cheap

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Hormonal’

hormonal imbalance
topic of late
end of the period
excess of weight

lack of good sleep
sensitive to touch
more facial hair
is just too much

what are the options
there must be a way
change of gender
saves the day
