MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Sudden Shift’

It may be healing
For whatever feeling
To go to the forest
Breathe air at its best

Cookies and tea
Fell inside me
Turn a new leaf
No more beef

Walk or ride
Move with pride
No smelly fumes
Silence no booms

Crack of a dawn
My daily yawn
Instead of papers
Fresh flower vapors

Coffee forgotten brew
Kombucha with a dew
Clap my hands to chant
My diet now fully plant

Om and hum feel the beat
Lift your bum bare both feet
Rite of passage in middle age
Breaking the bond fleeing the cage

Touch of breeze on my face
Being gifted divine grace
Sudden shift from foggy mind
Walking gently and being kind

Now stop and breathe

MIDNIGHT POETRY – “After The Rain”

AFTER THE RAIN The sky is blue again
Another opportunity to take a walk by the creek
With lorikeets and wild turkey chicks

Native bees flying to their hive
Paper bark tree standing tall in the sun
Fallen leaves make their mark on the ground

Did we make a positive mark on life today?
What a glorious chance to be on Earth

Flowers of yellow colors full of sweet nectar
Fungi size of a pizza plate contrast in green grass

Smell of rain drops and the forest under our feet
Make the most of each day as life can be so sweet

Taste its nectar!

MIDDAY POETRY – “Another Day Breathing”

Another chance to walk in the bush
Hardy trees of diverse colors and shades
Forest fruits unknown to our tastes

Roots by the creek sprawling like a web
Painted rock in the trunk sharing a message
Are we finding all the signs nature leaves us?
What is she trying to portray?

Perhaps that the day is here
When NOW is the time to live life
Stop the wait for ‘That day’ in the future
As there is no certainty on this road called life

What was yesterday are just blurred memories
What is going to be tomorrow is never sure
Today and in each given moment
Between the breaths going in and out

Live just a little!

Enjoy the mystery…
