MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Enigmatic’

oblivious to the facts
knowing is not doing
hidden in the pudding
candid truth

the head seeking
the spacious belly
perfect place to hide
all worried thoughts

nom nom nom
sugary and fatty food
love handles tell
never ending story

craving more
unsatisfied not enough
the body shape growing
new size old mind

the mirror yields
the hangdog look
blank stare
into the portal

deep under
fluffy layers
the truth shackled
ready to rupture

enigmatic

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Their Influence’

glass ceiling
shattered into
tiny shards

They walked
in to this era
boldly

earlier led by
Him — while She
stood behind

unheard
misunderstood
silently choking

suddenly
change of colors
a rainbow

books rewritten
history became
Their-story

Her place
forgotten
His forsaken

unified
turned into
Theirs

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Late morning’

the cabriolet was waiting
it was a late morning
after the wedding
time to sober up

the plan was to head north
to the checkpoints
then through them
into the land of opportunities

in the warm shower
she made the decision
it was time to put her life
into her own hands

her dreams awaited
on the other side
of the border
she jumped into the car

and only then

a sudden jolt
she woke up
sweating
still single

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Driven’

initially
contempt

the news
penetrating
the internet

all the way
down

new
reality
seeped through
to the top

the perfect
storm
unraveled

180 turn
in taste
for charged

transport
