MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Sometimes’

sometimes
seeing is
believing
magic

sometimes
hearing is
trusting
omnipresence

at times
feelings
guide us
deeper

at times
emotions
come up
stronger

without
guidance
we could
wander

without
healing
we might
suffer

gratitude
is the key
that sets
us free

MIDNIGHT POETRY -‘Craving’

impulse
desire
craving

something
savoury
or sweet

first
salted
nuts

still
unsatisfied

followed by
heaps of
other goodies

too many
to list

blaming
the weather
body chills

pants
too small
to wear

need to
go shopping

belly
overflowing
the waistline

taste buds
what a
curse!

MORNING POETRY – ‘The Rotten Apple’

what is all the hype
about iphones
i say they don’t
live up to it

if you had one
learnt to use it
then replaced it
with a new iphone

you will say
it’s the best
thing since
sliced bread

BUT
i as an avid
samsung user
made the transition
to an iphone

only to find
it is such a rigid
user foe system

hard to imagine
there is such a craze
for iphones
in general

only explained if
people never
actually made
the switch!

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Late morning’

the cabriolet was waiting
it was a late morning
after the wedding
time to sober up

the plan was to head north
to the checkpoints
then through them
into the land of opportunities

in the warm shower
she made the decision
it was time to put her life
into her own hands

her dreams awaited
on the other side
of the border
she jumped into the car

and only then

a sudden jolt
she woke up
sweating
still single
