speaking is listening
let that sink in
when we speak
we hear our own voice
so
let’s speak to another
the same way
we would like to
be spoken to
as
we are the main
recipient of
our words
now
choose
wisely
choose
kindness

MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Rainy Rhyme’
softly falling rain
removes the chain
of emotional pain
make it our goal main
to become fit again
heavy lifting like a crane
could feel insane
forsake words profane
if body weight you gain
oxygen flows in a vein
is it safe to explain
what does soda contain
artificial sweeteners refrain
the taste of a new domain
drink fresh sugar cane
get rid of the wine stain
stop to vilify grain
its effects ascertain
body fuel regain
learn to entertain
in the fast lane
like a bullet train
with no champagne
if we are to be sane
it may sound mundane
food is to sustain
not energy drain
extra pounds do retain
diets to disdain
it’s a deeper terrain
stop to complain
no longer restrain
preaching was in vain
eating is not humane
abstain
MIDDAY POETRY – ‘Blank Page’
hello my dear
it has been a while
our past encounters
long into the night
sitting next to you
now makes me smile
seeing the light
little wit no ink
joyous to give into
your embrace
much rather than
visit to the shrink
gentle movement
sweaty fingers
brain fog lifted
spilling it all out
your touch is gifted
truth uncovered
books on the shelf
shadows with a glow
the time is here
to know thyself
MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Quiz’
what is there
blank stare
what is there
looking out the eyes
what is there
too many lies
who is there
to save us from ourselves
who is there
to dodge the crowd
who is there
to figure it all out
where is there
peace in the world
where is there
beauty without art
where is there
joy in the heart
when is there
moment of calm
when is there
the best time
when is there
no more crime
why is there
so many questions
why is there
in and out breath
why is there
birth and death
