MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Natural Encounters’

Up a tree
Feeling free
In a box
Flying fox

Down below
On willow
Birds in flock
Croacked a frog

Lazing around
Close to ground
Koala bear
Doesn’t care

Skipping through the grass
Kangaroos and Ass
Coming to stand still
Carpet Phyton’s chill

Fly or two for lunch
On a broken branch
Weaving it’s web
Spider in a prep

Sun going to set
Nothing to regret
The darkness fills the sky
Time to heal the cry

Living in the land of wonder
One can perhaps little ponder
Problems of our heap
Behaving like a sheep

Masking this and that
Breathing like the dead
Without air in lungs
Almost growing fangs

Stench of rotting flesh
Could not be less fresh
Holes in common sense
Happy behind fence

Seeing from the gate
Looking at our fate
Grasping for fresh air
Remember life is fair

Who we think we are
Speaks volumes from afar
Free or locked in cage
Our wisdom come of age

Unlock the gate and be free

Locked down
