MIDNIGHT POETRY – ‘Search & Rescue’

SEARCH & RESCUE

With gusto
Chasing a ghost
Don Quixote
My life story

Without high heels
Stepping up
Through the jungle
On the front line

Crocodile tears
Have no use
Been here before
Dried up banks

Resilience pays tax
Body cries for rest
Stubborn head
Chews another hour

Building trust
Into the night
Secret space
Walking shadows

Unveiling new show
Ice sculptures
In the heart
Burn with desire

Change of a tire
